How Posting on LinkedIn Got Me Published in the Most Important News Sites
I’ve never even dreamed of getting published on Forbes, Business Insider, Inc., and Refinery29, and LinkedIn got me there!
LinkedIn is not your online resume. It’s so much more! And, in my opinion, it’s one of the best online platforms to help you build, maintain, and grow a personal and professional brand.
On LinkedIn, you can build a trusting network of future colleagues and clients, build community, showcase your skills and expertise, and demonstrate your thought leadership.
And if you’re looking to gain visibility and potentially get noticed by journalists, editors, and large publications? LinkedIn is definitely the place to be.
When I started posting content on Linkedin about two years ago, I didn’t know I would get noticed by some of the largest and most impactful business and news publications. But I did, and I couldn’t be more grateful!
So far, I’ve been privileged enough to get featured on Forbes, Refinery29, Business Insider, Refinery29 (again!), and Inc. I’ve also been featured on LinkedIn News (multiple times!), and other publications like Senior Executive Magazine, Forage, and many, many others. Really, it's a dream come true, if we’re being honest.
I didn’t know that LinkedIn would open these doors for me — and honestly, I didn’t even know that these doors existed in the first place! — So, I want to share some of the things I’ve done and learned along the way. Hopefully, they’ll help you boost your visibility and get closer to the opportunities you’re also looking for.
Be Consistent. Post Content Everyday.
Creating content daily can do so much for you, that it’s *almost* a magic trick! You build community, get to share your expertise and establish yourself as a thought leader, get a recognizable professional brand, demonstrate your skills and expertise, and help you create an “expertise portfolio” others can read whenever.
