Implementing Inclusive Hiring strategies is about minimizing biases at every single step of the way of your Recruitment Process. It’s about de-constructing practices that, yeah, probably worked for you in the past but are no longer serving you, your company culture, or the talent you’re trying to hire.

Inclusive Hiring is about breaking down the many discriminatory interviewing and recruiting practices we sometimes follow without questioning. From the way we write job descriptions, the application process we ask our candidates to follow, the questions we ask, to the way we extend offers.

I know that reviewing, analyzing, and revamping every step and every detail isn’t easy. It takes time, effort, Leadership buy-in, a deep understanding of Inclusive and Equitable practices, and — sometimes — a thorough budget.

So, with all this in mind, I’ve put together 5 small changes you can start implementing today to make your hiring processes a tiny bit more inclusive.
