Oh, in the United States, we don't have home offices either! Especially in big cities.

My HO is a very tiny desk in my living room - which is already VERY small (not sure if you're familiar with NYC apartments; they're very, very, very small). To accommodate my desk, we had to remove our sofa.

Still, WFH and flexible work environments win every time from the employees' POV - they're more inclusive and equitable. They promote more productivity and creativity and open the door for more diverse talent to fully participate in the workplace.

The leaders interviewed for this white paper ignored all those data points and made decisions solely based on their POV.

Now, if, for whatever reason, a company decides that an office is best for them, that decision should be made based on data coming from their own employees - which can also be tricky if the workplace isn't a psychologically safe space to work, to begin with, likely, the survey results won't be as truthful as we'd like them to be.
