Partnering With A New Organization: How To Know If They’re Really Committed To DE&I

Whether you are a job candidate, a third-party vendor, or an external Consultant, here are a few things to be on the lookout for, especially if Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are part of your core values.

As we all unfortunately know, many companies claim to be fully committed to DE&I, but their actions say the opposite. Some of those performative actions are big and obvious enough that we don’t really need to look that deep. Spoiler alert: Pride Month might give you all the “big hints” you need!

But what about the internal day-to-day stuff? All those internal details that only someone currently working at a company will know? Some of those details are crucial information to us, especially if Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are really important to you.

If you are a job candidate, a third-party vendor, or an external Consultant, I’ve put together a quick list of red flags you might want to pay attention to as you move forward with your interview or 3rd party partnering process:
