Contrary to popular belief, Quiet Quitting doesn’t mean that “employees won’t go above and beyond anymore”.
And… Quiet Quitting is certainly not new. You were just not paying attention.
- Quiet Quitting happens when your employees feel so disregarded as human beings that they rightfully and intentionally decide to put their mental health and overall well-being first.
- It happens when the sense of belonging and all aspects of psychological safety were deemed unimportant.
- Quiet Quitting is what you get when you forget to focus on Equity, Belonging, Inclusion, and Culture… and when you don’t follow up or follow thru with your promises, pledges, and announcements.
