What Happens When Executives Make People Decisions Based on “Gut Instinct”
They end up harming their company, their employees, and their reputation. Even when they claim to make decisions “to improve company culture.”
So, it turns out that Business Executives only listened to their “gut instinct” when forcing employees to return to the office. They intentionally decided to ignore data, their employees’ wishes and needs, and Workplace Culture experts’ opinions. Because, you know, they know better.
But they really didn’t know better. And their selfish decisions backfired quickly.
As we say in Spanish, this is a “chocolate por la noticia!” moment (something like give that man a medal for their discovery!”) Because DEI, Talent, and HR Professionals have warned Business Leads about how harmful mandatory RTO policies could be for 2+ years now.
But some Leaders bulldozed over anyway.

- 80% of Leaders admitted making RTO decisions without knowing what their employees wanted.
- 54% of Leaders claimed making RTO decisions based on inaccurate data.
