With Affirmative Action in Education Revoked; Challenge “College Recruitment” Outdated Strategies

Talent Teams, Recruiters, Hiring Managers, Team Leaders, People Managers, and Business Leads must re-think their talent attraction and retention strategies. Whatever you were doing until last week won’t work moving forward.

Here are a few things you can start doing now:

Remove college education requirements from your open positions

Unless, of course, you’re hiring for highly specialized industries like medicine, physics, legal, and biology. In those cases, your “Diversity Hiring” strategies must be more precise, long-term, and equitable by design.

Review what schools you usually partner with

Expand that list and make sure to include all minority-serving institutions, community schools, and trade schools. Make sure to include non-traditional education routes as well!
